FGC Game Capture
May 2023 - Present
I am responsible for capturing game footage for use by Jellyfish LLC for various fighting games. Game footage is collected to fit a pre-written script with particular needs in short form, and also includes collecting B-Roll match footage.
I also edit file formats, modify game content, give creative input when necessary on rough drafts, and provide input transcription services for professional match footage.
Action John & The Action Oasis
2020 - Present
Action John is my handle in the gaming sphere, with the Action Oasis being the name of my community. Since 2020 I have been consistently growing as a Twitch Affiliate streamer, with a dedicated Discord community of over 150 members.
The community is centered around social gaming, group activities, fighting game tournaments, and in-game events with a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
Metafy Booth Activation - Collision
2022
Assisted the Event Manager for Metafy with their first in-person Booth Activation. Our presence was focused around stream advertising and an intricate booth experience with multiple opportunities to collect attendee feedback about the site and host giveaways. It was also a key opportunity to give a completely remote company in the gaming space some physical presence, which led to impromptu content creation around the two-day event. This included a walk-through tour conducted by myself for our social channels, and photos with verified site coaches.
Annual HUE Invitational
2019 - 2021
The largest collegiate esports invitational in the world, I was a primary organizer for HUE 2019, 2020 (Online), and 2021. Alongside the Director, Chad Smeltz, I confirmed universities attending, assembled press kits, established content calendars and strategy for social media coverage, performed graphic design overhauls for those materials, served as a live-television and written press representative for the events, conducted live event photography, led student interns as a broadcast coordinator for HUE 2021, and handled whatever other duties I could assist with over the course of the events.
